QUICK RUNDOWN
I have a passion for gaming; I have had a love for crafty things since I was about 6; I like bold colors; I think dragons are some of the coolest-looking things ever; I am a boy mom; Avatar: The Last Airbender is one of my comfort shows; I love chocolate; I have ADHD; and I grew up as a military brat.
My Designs
I enjoy creating work that is outside the "norm." My goal is to leave my mark, a very colorful mark that is exploding with personality. I want work to be timeless and still talked about many, many years later. That is the goal.
Back Story
If you want to know more in detail about me. I previously stated I have a passion for gaming. That started when I was very young. The first game I ever played was Club Penguin on my family's computer. From there, I played all sorts of games on the Wii, then Nintendo DS, PlayStation, Xbox, and PC. I also started my crafting journey early on in my life. I learned to sew and crochet at a young age (even made my teachers little crocheted apples). I would make 3D towns and animals out of paper. Then I started painting and drawing. The first drawing that I loved was of a dragon. Later on, I learned digital drawing.
Growing up, my dad was in the Army, so we followed him everywhere. I was born in Wisconsin but moved overseas pretty fast. I lived in Germany, Amsterdam, and then Ireland. Once I was about 7 or 8, I moved back to the States. I lived in Pennsylvania for a bit before returning to Wisconsin. My deep love of chocolate and sweets started in Germany and has stayed with me ever since. I constantly crave some good Polish or German chocolate.
In my more recent years, I was diagnosed with ADHD in my first couple of semesters of college; if you knew me, it wasn't much of a shocker. Then, towards the last couple of semesters, I became a mom to the most wonderful boy who tests my patience every single day, but I wouldn't change a thing. Becoming a mom has helped me learn how to balance different parts of my life and get better at adapting quickly and problem-solving on the spot. It has also helped me become more creative as a designer. Watching him discover new things with fresh eyes, make up his own games that only he understands, and use things in a way we wouldn't even think of using them has helped me learn to think more outside the box and be more creative.
My free time now consists of playing video games, drawing, hanging out with my kid, and every so often my ADHD brain will fixate on picking up a new hobby for a couple of months.
